I've never been very good with understanding figures of speech. They often just don't make much sense to me. I was reading an argument about religious freedom and someone said "you can't have your cake and eat it too." I think that's stupid. Of course you should be able to have a cake AND eat it. Otherwise, why would you have the cake. I'm sure this comes form somewhere, but I don't know where. Any thoughts or annoying expressions?

A bird in the hand's worth two in the bush. Why in the world would I want to carry a bird around in my hand? I'd much rather watch them singing in the bushes! :) I love you and miss you!Praying that you are not only learning more, but loving more :)
ReplyDeleteI got one! "to kill two birds with one stone..." I HATE this one! I love little birdies, so why would I want to kill two with one stone?? I understand the concept of this phrase...but couldn't they come up with a more unloved animal??
